Running vs Walking –
A new paper was recently published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning research which re-examines the number of calories burned when walking vs. running one mile. It’s a good read with a few interesting findings. The two take-home items are the total number of calories burned per minute running vs. walking and the post-workout burn that is seen in running but not walking. Here is a great review of the paper and a few more pieces of info on the topic.
